Travis Walton

Many people who believe in the possibility of alien life in a distant universe often roll their eyes at proclaimations of alien abductions. Yet there have been a few alien abduction claims and stories which have not only held the public’s fascination for decades, they have also had some threads of truth to them. In November of 1975, one of the most noted alien abductions in history happened to Travis Walton, a then 18-year-old lumberjack working in the National Forests of Arizona with 6 other men.

According to all accounts of the Travis Walton abduction, on the evening of November 5, 1975, the 7 lumberjacks were leaving after a long day of clearing trees in the National Forest. They were driving down a dirt road, and about 100 feet away, the crewmen saw a hovering object in the sky, shaped like a flattened disc, emitting a yellowish light or glow. Walton, being quite fearless at the age of 18, decided to get a closer look at the object. He jumped from the truck and stood beneath the object, looking upwards at the craft, when a bluish beam suddenly struck out at Walton, throwing him backwards about 10 feet. The crewmembers fled in terror, leaving Walton behind.

Travis WaltonAfter reaching Snowflake, Arizona, the men decided they should go back for their fallen comrade, and returned to the area of the sighting. There was no trace of Walton anywhere, and the men contacted authorities to get help to find their missing friend. At first, police and the general public thought it an elaborate hoax. After five of the men passed lie detector tests, and the 6th man’s results were rendered “inconclusive”, authorities began to second-guess their earlier theories of murder or kidnapping.

Five days later, Walton returned. He says he awakened on the side of a country road with his head on his right forearm. He was cold and thirsty, and made his way to a gas station phone booth where he called a family member to come get him. When his family arrived, Walton was unconscious in the phone booth. He was brought to an area hospital where he was examined and found to have been unharmed. When asked of his whereabouts for the past five days, Walton said he remembered being struck down by the blue ray and then awakening inside the craft on a cold, metal table where three horrible beings were holding him. Over the next several days, many tests were performed on him by the beings, and then he was returned to earth. Travis Walton has since been offered large sums of money to recant his story, yet has not done so to this day.

Whether or not Travis Walton was actually experimented on by aliens from a distant universe remains to be proven for sure. All we have is his account of the events which occured, as well as the verbal accounts given by the other 6 members of his work crew who witnessed the UFO and Walton’s being struck by a blue ray from the UFO. To this day, Travis Walton continues to stick with his claim of having been abducted by aliens, and being experimented on for five days in November of 1975.

Unidentified submerged objects (USOs) are the underwater equivalent of UFOs and can be considered a subset of the UFO category, not a category in itself.

These objects are capable of extreme feats, both above and under the water, and have been reported by people such as Alexander The Great, King George V of England and Christopher Columbus, some even believing this phenomenon to go as far back as ancient Egypt.

It has been estimated that an unidentified submerged object (USO) can travel between 150 knots to 500 knots and can submerge to an unimaginable 20,000 feet, according to sonar recordings. By contrast, nuclear powered U.S. submarines can deliver speeds exceeding 25 knots and can submerge to a depth greater than 800 feet.

Large and super thick ice sheets do not seem to represent an obstacle to unidentified submerged objects as they have been observed coming through these bodies of ice like as if they were not even there. Subsequent examination of the large holes in the ice revealed that the contour of the holes was smooth and clean, definitely not caused by natural events or sudden impact. Could it be that these objects possess some form of capability of melting ice instantly from transit speed?

Unidentified submerged objects are by far the most reliably documented events among all types of UFO sightings, as they are invariably tracked and recorded on the most sophisticated radar and sonar equipment deployed by military institutions around the globe.

Some sightings of unidentified submerged objects :

* June 18, 1845 : the Malta Times reported that the brigantine Victoria’s crew saw three illuminated objects fly up from the sea and were visible for ten minutes.

* February 10, 1951: U.S. Navy Commander Graham Bethune and his crew were on their way from Iceland to Newfoundland when they spotted an UFO emerging from the water which, upon approach, turned into an enormous circle of white lights.

* 1963: the sonar of an U.S. Navy submarine on duty off of the coast of Puerto Rico picked up an object traveling at 150 knots at 20,000 feet below and tracked it for four days.

Crews from U.S. Navy battle groups have also had more than their share of unidentified submerged objects sightings during their deployment :

* 11,001 crew members of the U.S.S. Monrovia APA-31 witnessed a long, oval shaped object easily match the ship’s speed and course maneuvers for 90 minutes before disappearing.

* Lt. Commander M.C. Davies spotted an object on the ship’s radar that stayed in position for about five minutes then sped off at a speed that he estimated to be over a thousand miles per hour.

* A large blue glow with an oval shape approached the stern side of the U.S.S. Ponce, its width and length estimated to be similar to the length of the ship itself.

Of course, the 1967 Shag Harbour, Nove Scotia incident is the most often cited of unidentified submerged objects events. An UFO reportedly crashed into the harbour and was subsequently tracked by the navies of two countries, the U.S. and Canada, along with NORAD, with the Canadian Forces Headquarters and the Canadian Maritime Command leading the initial investigation. An advanced U.S. radar facility in the area followed the travels of the crashed UFO and detected a second unidentified submerged object approaching the first one, ostensibly coming to the rescue of its brethren.

Allegedly, a Dutch national was contacted in 1967 by aliens who claimed that they come from a planet called Iarga, located some 11 light years away and that their mission was human observation from underwater. He was even allowed to visit their unidentified submerged objects. Perhaps one day, they will give us a glimpse into the utterly unknown world called the deep seas.

Are UFOS And Aliens Real

The question; are UFOs and aliens real, is certainly quite challenging and subjective question to reply to. According to exactly what side of the fence you are in, you may either be a believer, nonbeliever or someplace in between.

Traditionally speaking, anybody who believes in UFOs believes aliens/extraterrestrials are their passengers as well as aviators. A long time ago it was more clear-cut; there were clearly the believers along with nonbelievers. However, these days, a greater part of the general public have grown to be believers or somewhere in between.

Everyone from the common person, commercial and private aviators, medical professionals, attorneys, famous personalities, scientists to military officials have come out in favor of UFOs. Belief in UFOs and aliens are on the rise in the United States of America and around the world. People are reporting UFO sightings like never before and are demanding answers from their government representatives.

The United States still refuses to take into consideration UFOs or even their presence, however throughout the world; a growing number of governments are releasing classified documents and speaking about UFOs occurrences with the open public. Will the United States ultimately give in to the pressure or will they hold steady and reject disclosure.

As the years go by, one after the other the evidence for the existence of UFOs is growing. Undoubtedly that a variety of natural occurrences are accountable for a sizable percentage of UFO sightings but not all of them. There are a small yet noteworthy number of instances which just cannot be explained for; it is this small yet highly significant number which continues to fuel the fire.

It’s this small yet significant number of occurrences that will sooner or later either substantiate or disprove that UFOs are legitimate and that we are being frequented by aliens. Are UFOs real; only time will tell.

The sometimes vitriolic debate surrounding the topic of Are UFOs real will probably never end until definite evidence is presented to support or refute the question. The term Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) is self-explanatory, and strictly from the point of view of the meaning of the term, of course UFOs are real.

It would definitely stretch the imagination that none of us has ever encountered this phenomenon, where we cannot simply identify the flying object. That does not necessarily mean that UFOs come from extraterrestrial sources. It has been estimated that 90% to 95% of UFO sightings can be scientifically explained. However, there is the remaining 5% to 10% that triggers our vivid imagination.

Periodically, radars have managed to track UFOs and have found them to have the capability of performing maneuvers that can defy scientific knowledge (90 degree turns & instant elevation or deceleration), with such extreme disturbance and speed that the occupants of the UFO should have been killed instantly. At other times, visual sightings cannot be tracked by radar, leading to the possibility that some UFOs may possess far greater stealth technology than is presently possible.

In just the past few years, government officials and generally considered reliable individuals have stepped forward and emphatically gave an answer to the question of: Are UFOs real?

* Retired Colonel John Alexander spent twenty five years of his career assessing top government levels to ascertain the people responsible for UFO information and to see if there has ever been a government cover-up. His conclusion: There is no cover up since UFO information had already been disseminated throughout the years, starting initially with President Truman. Russian President Gorbachev himself declared that he had several of his generals attempt to convince him that UFOs are real. Colonel Alexander’s own assessment: UFOS are real, without any doubt or qualifications.

* The British government released 8,000 pages of formerly classified documents from its UFO Project and revealed that they cannot rule out the possibility of extraterrestrial existence.

* Former Canadian Defense Secretary Paul Hellyer publicly announced in 2005 that UFOs are as real as planes flying overhead.

* Lt. Colonel Phillip Corso claimed that his work on back engineering alien spacecraft parts recovered from the Roswell crash led to the creation of various high tech developments in the last 50 years.

Are UFOs real? The remarkably accurate Long Count calendar of the ancient Mayan civilization marks December 21 of 2012 as the end of a 5,126 year era. Apocalypse or will this be the day that aliens will formally introduce themselves and forever change the world as we know it?

Phoenix Lights

Phoenix Lights

On a clear spring evening on the 13th of March 1997 an incident in the sky over the American states of Arizona and Nevada, and the Mexican state of Sonora, gave rise to the phenomenon known as the ‘Phoenix Lights’ or ‘Lights over Phoenix’.  There was a lot of interest in the night sky that evening because Comet Hale-Bopp was expected to be visible to the naked eye.

However, star gazers witnessed a much more unusual event, a series of strange lights and unexplained shapes appeared in the clear evening sky.  From between 19:30 and 22:30 MST hundreds of reports were made to Police and Luke Air Force Base, describing unusual night illuminations across a 300 mile stretch between the Nevada state line, through to Phoenix and to the edge of Tucson.

The incident had two distinct events; a series of stationary lights were reported in the Phoenix area, as well as a large triangular light formation that moved across the sky.  The moving lights were described in various colors from bright red-orange, to amber, yellow and white.  They were arranged in a boomerang or V formation.  These lights were reported to move in unison, as if they were connected, and there appeared to be a solid structure encasing the lights because the immediate sky surrounding the object was blacked out.  Stationary lights were also reported to ‘hover’ for several hours before vanishing.  However, air-traffic controllers didn’t register any of the strange objects on their radar.  On February 6th 2007, a second incident of these strange lights was reported and on April 21, 2008 a third similar event was reported, all within the same geographical location.

Unfortunately documented photographic evidence of the first appearance of the Phoenix Lights is limited to a few images.  However, during the second incident in 2007, numerous still photographs and video images were collected.  These images clear show some form of craft moving across the night sky.

The Phoenix Lights have generated a range of conflicting explanations.  The V shaped formation has been explained as airplane lights.  Proponents argue that the lights observed on video tapes do not move as a single object, but are instead separate entities, often viewed as one due to illusory contours that force the human eye to view unconnected lines or dots as a single shape.  However, there were no known military or civilian aircraft formations flying in that location during the times the crafts were viewed.  The hovering stationary lights have been explained by American Air Force officials as slow-falling, long burning flares dropped during a series of training exercises at the Luke Air Force Base.  However, this explanation is also flawed as the timing of the fly-overs and subsequent flare drops doesn’t explain the earlier sightings, some of which occurred during daylight.

What also makes the Phoenix Lights incident bizarre was the lack of response from government officials.  Many citizens were alarmed by the events and demanded some type of immediate explanation.  However, it was only three months later following significant public pressure that a full investigation was announced.  Despite this investigation, there still lacks an adequate explanation that can fully account for the all the events associated with the Phoenix Lights.  Whether it was a result of some type of secret military training exercise or extraterrestrial visitors remains a mystery. Are ufos real, you decide.
